Integration into the world of Amazon Alexa and Google
The smooth integration of the door control unit into the world's leading smart home systems "Amazon Alexa" and "Google Home" is made possible by the innovative WiFi module from Novoferm Tormatic. When selecting a sectional garage door, the new Novoferm Tormatic WiFi module is all that is needed to realise the integration. Neither a separate SmartHome control centre nor a gateway are required.
The intelligent control is therefore independent of a local SmartHome system. The Tormatic WiFi module for smart garage door control can be easily retrofitted to all drives manufactured from 2016 onwards and is simply connected to the drive via a mini-USB. No additional hardware is required.
In this way, Novoferm garage doors seamlessly become part of the Amazon Alexa or Google world. Use the Tormatic drive to open and close sectional garage doors via the Amazon Alexa or Google apps and their voice assistants ("Amazon Alexa", "Google Assistant", "Google Nest Hub", etc.) or to query the door status.
